Yes you heard me correctly.I said walleyes. The walleyes are back. Thanks to all of you people who donated to Shabbona's Lakeside's walleye restocking fund through the Fishing Opens we have a good population of walleyes in hte lake and they are beginning to show up again!

We caught quite a few of them last night using leeches and minnows on the deeper weedlines and rock piles. All of the fish were between 12 and 16 inches long.

Thank you so much for supporting the walleye restocking fund! I love catching walleyes on my home waters of Shabbona Lake.
