Going out thursday

I'm going to be out thursday taking a friend hoping to get his first musky. I usually have great luck w/firetiger in the fall w/suicks, jerkbaits, and crankbaits. I've read in the recent posts that they have been catching ski's. Are they still hitting the topwaters?
