Can anyone on this site tell me where the walleye on the websites main screen was caught? Someone is holding it in front of the restaurant.
The reason I ask is that I just recieved my new issue of Great Lakes Fishing and Hunting today, and when I opened it up I found the very same picture, with Jay Angel holding the fish which says it was caught on Trout Lake, in Boulder Junction, Wisconsin.
Now, we all know it could not be caught at both lakes.
Are we putting pictures of Wisconsin walleyes on this site, or is the walleye fishing that bad in Wisconsin that we have to use pictures of Shabbona walleye to fill their pages.
OR, has Jay Angel sent this picture to several editors.

I'm sure the pic is just an overlay...although I had nothing at all to do with the website design. Actually, I don't think that I ever thought about whether the fish was caught at Shabbona or not; it's just a nice walleye, and there are some nice ones at the lake.

Jay caught that Walleye at Shabbona. Jay, like most outdoor writers, sends along a picture with a story. The recepient often adds caption to that picture, unbeknownst to the writer.

Thanks Denny for the info, the caption reads ( Fishing shallow drop-offs and rockpiles near the islands and river mouths will produce nice walleye like this one caught by Jay Angel)
Just goes to show you cant beleive half if anything these writers are telling you. There is probably a story behide this story.
