is it true that camping rates went up? if so is it $25/night regular nights and $35/night holiday weekends??

yes rates went up as of friday 35 on holiday 30 on normal weekende and 25 during the week i think

That is indeed correct and I for one am really upset about it. I don't have kids but I keep thinking about people who take their families camping for some inexpensive, outdoor, together time. It's always been something that was affordable to nearly everyone...an inexpensive, fun weekend. But now it's going to cost $70 bucks to toss a tent on a patch of land. I keep wondering.....why the increase? It was bad enough when it went from $13 to $20 but this is just outrageous. If I'm not mistaken the hosts "work" not for money but instead for the luxury of staying in the campground for free? And it's not like you see improvements or work going on at the park to justify this ridiculous rate hike. Don't get me wrong - I don't want them to change a thing about it. We like going because it's not a 'Yogi Bear' type park with the pools and all that garbage. So we have a park ranger (who don't get paid squat), someone to mow, garbage disposal, and outhouse tank maintenance? What else? What am I missing? My guess is Blago hit on another way to put the screws to us as if the fact that we're paying more for gas than anyone else in the country isn't enough. Can you tell I'm p*ssed?
