This weekend will be my first time out camping at Shab. I had two questions concerning parking...
1. How many cars will fit at the campsite? We're tent camping, so no big campers in the way.
2. Is there extra parking available for overnight campers?
Thanks all!

1. About two cars/trucks.
2. I think you can park down by the store too.

I've found as long as your off the main roads and not bringing attention to yourself, the number cars is not an issue. I've parked in the lot by the camp store as well.

Hi,
I am currently a campground host.
You are allowed two vehicles per site, although if you have friends visiting during the day, and if there is room, they can park there temporarily. Cars must be parked so they are not blocking the road. You should be able to park two cars on the gravel pad with no problem.
If you have more than two cars, be sure the camp host who signs you in gives you extra tags for your cars. These tags ID you as a registered camper. That way if you need to park the car(s) by the showerhouse or in the parking lot down by the Camp Store, the rangers and police who patrol the campground at night will know that the car belongs to a registered camper.
Hope that helps

You won't have any problems during the week. People start to clear out on Sunday. They are start to fill back up again Thursday evening. At least that's been my observation.

If you arrive on Monday, there will be plenty of spots to set up a site. Generally from Monday thru Wednesday, the park is pretty empty.
Sites are not designated as tent or RV or motorhome. Just find a spot you like.
Unless it's a holiday, the Registration Office will be closed and the sign will tell you to proceed to the campground. At some point, the campground host who is on duty will be by to get you signed up.
If the Registration Office is open, you would sign in there and then drive into the campground to find your camp site.
Hope that helps
