When does campground open for 2007

I drove by the campground entrance the other day and gate was still closed. When does the Shabbona campground officially open for the 2007 season?

i think that in the early spring the camp ground is closed due to the possibily of "soft roads"

a lot cheeper to close the gate than build new roads

Hi all
I had been checking this site often earlier this spring to see if anyone had posted, but I guess I should check more often.
The campground was closed during March due to the soggy ground. It is now open (as was evidenced by the hordes of campers who were there last weekend). Beginning May 1, the shower house will be open and the gates will be locked from 10 pm to 6 am.

I believe June 1st is the parks official opening.
