I have read the messages about the rate increases but i want you all to think about something, Where are you going to go with such beauty and scenery. Where can you go to watch the cranes fly in with such grace and the fish jump so high. Where can you go to show your children and grandchildren the beauty of nature that can never be removed or taken away. Where can you go knowing that that beauty and grace of birds animals and fish will always be there for you. Well, of course Shabbona. My husband and I try every year to get in when we can and it seems to be the one place that fills so fast. Why? Well because of all the beauty and grace that it gives you. The things you see and never forget. Some of these things are so priceless. The increase well I have to say yes it is high but, I'll pay it for those priceless things that I will receive and have received. The times fishing with my daughter and camping with her and my husband. I also look forward to those memories with my grandchild. We will definately make this place a family memory.

Did they use any of the increased fees to get some chemicals for the pit toilets?

I don't mind paying a couple of dollars more for the privilage of camping or visiting a nice park, there is a park in Iowa(Scott County Park) that was charging 2 or 3 bucks per carload then they removed the fee now all of the 'riff-raff' go there just to party and ruin it for every one else, now I try to advoid it
