Swimming in area?

We are planning to camp at Shabbona Lake this August. Does anyone know if there is somewhere for swimming close by?

there is swimming at smith s stonehouse park campground in roll about 7miles south. or you have to go to dekalb park district, hopkins park or get a sail board and keep falling off
