Shabbona's Lakeside Bait, Tackle & Boat Rental announces the availability of the 2008 Year Edition topographic fishing map of Shabbona Lake . The large 11" X 17" map is easy to read. The computer generated map features newly added Rockfest structure, accurate placement of cribs, brush piles and submerged trees, as well as shoreline features. It has the 2006 and 2007 fish stocking numbers and current fishing regulations. It has an updated fishing seminar on the back side, coordinated by number, with the front side of the map, for easy reference.

The original numbering system was set up by Denny Sands and Jim Drury in the early 1980's. It was developed to aid fishermen in talking about specific locations on Shabbona Lake . It made it easier for two fishermen to talk about the Lake . Thousands of previous editions have been sold.

The new 2008 Edition Shabbona Lake Map has a numbering system reflecting recent fishing data. Learn the numbering system and update your old maps or purchase a new map with the new added features. A copy of the numbers and a generic map of Shabbona is available above this article.

When you call Shabbona's Lakeside about current fishing conditions, you can refer to specific lake locations by numbers. This also makes it easier to talk to a fellow fishermen or read reports in the newspaper about Shabbona Lake , which often refer to locations by numbers.
